The Typhoon began with Edsel Ford who was an avid race-boat enthusiast. Edsel wanted a fast boat for his own personal use and he contracted the design team and manufacturing yard that built the famous race boat 'Teaser', to build an exact copy and naming it the Typhoon. The Typhoon was a large brute, measuring 40 ft. in length, with a 2000 cu. inch Wright Typhoon engine. Like a wild stallion, she was born to race, and had the seating capacity to seat up to eight adults in three separate cockpits.
