1. Using sustainable raw materials wooden blocks are worked on by time served craftsmen, club makers with nearly 200 years combined experience to create the exquisite playable golf clubs produced by Heritage Golf. Some clubs undergo over 57 manual processes to create the finished item.

2. Persimmon, Beech and Maple wood blocks are turned in a lathe to create their basic head shape.

3. Each wooden head including putters has molten lead added to provide the correct feel for the club in play.

4. Every head worked on is finished by hand before being stained. It is the club maker’s eye that determines the final shape of the club as he uses a hand file to smooth out any rough edges.

5. Iron heads come in as a black casting from the foundry. The hosels have to be precisely bored depending on the shaft they will be taking.

6. The club maker has to grind and polish every metal head coming through production.

7. Before final polishing each head is stamped by hand using a hammer and anvil as was done in the 1800s. Some heads will have at least 6 different hand stamps on them. The head is then ready to be glued and pinned to a shaft.

8. Shafts are sanded by hand to establish the perfect flex and kick-point for the club-head. The shaft is then stained and treated to protect it from the elements.

9. The final stage of the process is to build up a tapered leather or suede grip and finish the club with pitched twine giving you a club you can enjoy playing with for years.
